At Truly Independent we have always believed in nurturing talent. We have recently employed our 4^th apprentice within the space of 12 months and continue to seek new ambitious individuals to join our growing company.

There are many benefits to hiring an apprentice, including the opportunity to mould that person into the ideal employee from the ground up and watch them grow as a person. We provide our apprentices with the support and education they require to achieve their career goals.

Truly Independent Director, Katie Brinsden, said “Training them from the ground up also means you are preparing promotable talent. We believe the talent and dedication an apprentice can bring to our business is extremely valuable.”

Our apprentices begin work in the business and finance section of the company providing them with an education on how the business works and links them to our other departments. This enables us to analyse their key skills and establish their role in the company moving forward.

Chloe Fleming who joined us as an apprentice in Business Administration, said “Over the last 9 months I have been working my way through a Business Administration Level 3 apprenticeship at Truly Independent. I have been able to gain valuable experience while obtaining a qualification. I feel that going down this route has worked for me as I have been given the opportunity to learn new skills whilst gaining on the job training. The support I’ve received has allowed me to work confidently within my job role.”

Connor Turner who has been with us since March 2021 on the apprenticeship scheme said, “The Apprenticeship programme has been a great opportunity for me, allowing me to thrive and be a part of an ambitious and growing company. The freedom of the role has allowed me to further recognise strengths within myself that I have been able to utilise, with the intention of performing my duties effectively and efficiently.”

Speaking about the future, Katie said “I work closely alongside the apprentices showing them the systems and the way we work. Very quickly you can pick up what the individual talent each apprentice brings. We have 4 at the moment and each one brings something different to the business which has had a very positive effect. We look forward to recruiting more apprentices in the future.”
