Having worked in the financial service industry for over 30 years, I like to think I have come across almost every type of financial need for my clients. Starting off on a tied basis with the once mighty Pearl Assurance, I feel gave me a good grounding and understanding regarding client requirements. Following stints at C H Jeffries a local IFA and Commercial brokerage firm, I moved on to Skipton Building Society around the time of the financial crisis. Nearly eight years’ service at Armstrong Watson a local and regional accountancy and IFA, provided me access to higher net worth clients. More recently until joining Truly Independent, I worked for Close Brothers Asset Management a merchant bank with an investment arm for the last six years.

My clients in some cases have been with me from day one, over thirty years ago, so I would like to think they value the advice I have provided to them for many years. I have numerous industry qualifications, attaining the status of Chartered Financial Planner many years ago. I have in the past specialized in pension transfers as a pension transfer specialist, alongside more traditional planning such as managing clients invested capital, Inheritance tax planning, and long-term care requirement along with family and business protection needs.

Ultimately, I realize I need to repay clients trust by providing a full rounded advice service, which includes not solely investment, retirement, or other related financial services planning, but a joined up advice process to ensure when required we utilize the skills of other professionals such as accountants and solicitor’s to ensure the advice journey is smooth and clients objectives are attained.
