About the role
This is an exciting new opportunity for an individual with some experience in the Financial Advice or Wealth Management Industry to join our new and developing team as a Trainee Paraplanner. Working in our Private Clients department, this new role will support the clients of retired IFA’s from our UK wide National business Truly Independent Ltd.
Duties
The scope and duties of the role will be dependent on your experience but as a minimum you will be:
- Preparing annual review updates and correspondence for clients.
- Producing research and preparing suitability reports for new and existing business.
- Carry out technical research as part of the review process, including liaising with providers and collating information on investments, pensions and other products.
- Maintaining client database and core systems.
Knowledge & Experience required
- Good standard of education including English and Maths, grade C (equiv) or above at GCSE.
- CII qualifications desirable.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Teams, Excel, Outlook & back office systems.
- Experience within Financial Services with knowledge and experience of investments, pensions, protection & mortgages.
- Team Player with the ability to also work on own initiative.
- High attention to detail with a flexible approach to duties, self-motivated and proactive.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written, verbal and on the telephone.
- Calm under pressure with a pleasant manner.
- Professional and Enthusiastic attitude.
Career progression
The successful candidate will be required to commit to a program of study with the LIBF to achieve a Diploma in Paraplanning (DipPP).
Successful completion of this programme will attain the status of Customer Service Manager and the opportunity for a higher salary.
Remuneration
Salary ranges from £23,000 to £25,000 + benefits
Full training to Level 4 qualification
Working from Head Office in Carlisle 35.25 hours per week.
