We’re delighted to announce that Truly Independent Financial Adviser, Mary Hemingway, has received a nomination at this years Unbiased Trusted Professional Awards for the ‘Financial Adviser of the Year’ category.

Speaking about the nomination Mary said, “I am absolutely honoured to be nominated for this award by my clients; it really is the biggest compliment.

This time last year I was struggling to return to work after maternity leave, not fitting in with the company I worked for anymore. I was so stressed and genuinely considering if this was the right career for me.

To be one year on, happily my own boss, a fresh start joining Truly Independent and a nomination for ‘Financial Adviser of the Year’ shows I was right to stick with it and continue putting my clients at the heart of every decision I make in the profession I love.”

Mary is an independent financial adviser based in Coldstream in the Scottish Borders and specialises in providing Pension, Investment and Protection advice to her clients. As well as catering for her clients and their financial needs she is active in her local community as a Director of the Scottish Borders Chamber of Commerce, a founding member of the Scottish Borders Young Professionals and also teaches classes to students in high schools about personal financial planning.

When asked about the nomination, Truly Independent Founder and Managing Director, Andrew Goodwin, said “This is absolutely fantastic news and everyone is delighted for Mary. At Truly we exist to support advisers who understand that our development is always with their clients in mind. When our advisers are happy, they are more productive and their clients are happy too. Mary epitomises that and this has been reflected in her work and dedication to her clients.”

The ‘Financial Adviser of the Year’ award is awarded to the most trusted Financial Adviser, as rated by their clients on Unbiased. The winner set to be announced on 26th November 2020. We wish Mary and the other finalists the best of luck.
