Role Overview:

If so, we want you to join our team as the Business Relationships Manager, a dynamic role at the heart of Truly’s mission to support our UK-wide network of employed and self-employed independent financial advisers.
This role requires a driven, self-motivated individual who thrives in an autonomous environment. You will take the lead in hosting events, webinars, and corporate gatherings, working closely with our marketing team and product providers to create meaningful and engaging experiences for our advisers.
Key Responsibilities:
Webinars, Training, and Professional Development:
- Host and organise monthly webinars, such as Truly Talk, to update advisers on industry developments, policy changes, and best practices.
- Work with all departments to create tailored training sessions for internal staff and selfemployed advisers.
- Collaborate with our T&C Supervisor to organise CPD-accredited training sessions with product providers and industry experts to keep advisers informed and ahead of trends.
- Collaborate with other departments to encourage advisers to participate in internal training and gather feedback on what they’d like to see in future sessions.
Event Hosting and Corporate Engagement:
- Plan and host corporate events to deepen relationships and foster collaboration, including networking sessions, adviser presentations, and team gatherings.
- Represent Truly with confidence and energy, serving as a key figure in building excitement and engagement among advisers and external partners.
- Get involved in local community networking events to promote the brand and help increase our visibility both locally and nationally.
- Manage event logistics, from venue selection to seamless execution, ensuring all participants enjoy an exceptional experience.
Networking and Business Growth:
- Actively attend and participate in industry networking events to attract future advisers and clients to the business.
- Use networking insights to drive business development and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders.
Adviser Engagement and Support:
- Work with the firm’s T&C Supervisors to build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with advisers, sharing feedback with departments and key stakeholders to ensure consistent communication, tailored support, and relevant training.
- Work with our recruitment teams to ensure candidates have a smooth experience from application to onboarding.
- Collaborate with internal departments to deliver comprehensive onboarding experiences and ongoing professional support for new and existing advisers.
- Host and help coordinate induction programs at Head Office, ensuring new advisers and staff connect with our brand heritage and values from day one.
Internal Collaboration and Marketing Strategy:
- Partner with the marketing team to design campaigns that elevate Truly’s brand visibility and strengthen adviser engagement.
- Work with the Marketing department to create internal marketing materials for recruitment campaigns to attract new advisers to the business.
- Act as the liaison between advisers and internal teams, ensuring seamless communication and alignment of goals.
- Develop content, including presentations and training materials, to highlight Truly’s strengths and offerings effectively.
General:
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of networking activities, events, and training sessions, providing insights for continuous improvement.
- Support operations department with general duties when required.
Key Skills and Experience Required:
Essential:
- Proven ability to engage and inspire others through events, presentations, and training sessions.
- Strong marketing acumen, with experience running campaigns and promoting events.
- Exceptional communication skills, simplifying complex concepts and delivering them with clarity and enthusiasm.
- Confident hosting both online and in-person events, with an engaging stage presence.
- Experience organising corporate events, including managing logistics and ensuring impactful execution.
- Proactive problem-solver with excellent organisational skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other presentation tools.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of the financial advice industry, FCA regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with CPD frameworks and professional development in financial services.
- Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent).
